Could Tinnitus be Caused by Post-Traumatic Stress?
In this article, the possible relationship between the causes of tinnitus and post-traumatic stress will be discussed. Tinnitus is the perception of noises in the ear such as ringing, buzzing, crackling, or hissing. While it can be caused by hearing loss or another health condition, in some cases the cause may be unknown. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a serious psychological condition that can occur after a traumatic event, and some studies have shown that individuals with PTSD are more likely to experience tinnitus. The purpose of this article is to clarify the relationship between tinnitus and PTSD.
