This article provides information about the relationship between drug use and tinnitus. The causes of tinnitus, the treatment of drug-related tinnitus, what should be done to prevent tinnitus, and different treatment methods are discussed. It is stated that drugs such as aspirin, antibiotics, chemotherapy drugs, antimalarial drugs, and diuretics can cause tinnitus and can usually disappear when drug use is stopped. However, in some cases, stopping drug use may not prevent tinnitus. It is noted that ear protective devices, sound therapy, stress reduction techniques, dietary changes, and alternative therapies can be effective in the treatment of tinnitus.
